Best Warrior 2024

All Hazards Field Training

Col. Phillip Robinson's Final Flight
Col. Phillip Robinson is sprayed with water by his family after his final flight, celebrating his retirement from the Guard at the Army Aviation Support Facility, Boone National Guard Center, Frankfort, Kentucky. Robinson retires as the 238th commander and G-4 for the Kentucky Army National Guard. A career aviator, he previously served as the brigade executive officer before taking his position at Joint Force Headquarters. He is qualified on the OH-58, UH-72, and UH-60 aircraft. Helicopter Crash Emergency Response Exercise

Joint Force Training 'Real Deal'
U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Alpha Co., 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, look out the window of a UH-60 Black Hawk as the Kentucky Army National Guard Bravo Co., 2-147 Assault Helicopter Battalion (AHB), transports them. Together, with the help of the Kentucky Air National Guard 123rd Airlift Wing, they conducted Joint Training Mission "Real Deal." The mission’s objective was to plan, train, and execute an air assault with a realistic ground force. Aviators from the KYARNG transported Marines on five UH-60 Black Hawks from Boone National Guard Center, Frankfort, Kentucky, to Camp Atterbury-Muscatatuck, Edinburgh, Indiana. After completing their ground assault, the Marines were transported back to Boone Center by the aviators. The mission highlighted the coordination and operational capabilities of the units involved. I utilize tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Splice to craft engaging content tailored for online platforms and social media audiences.

Soldiers from 10 states and territories complete a series of tasks during the 2024 Region III Best Warrior Competition at the Harold L. Disney Training Center on April 15 and 16, 2024 in Artemus, Kentucky before returning back to Wendell H. Ford Training Center in Greenville, Kentucky. Hosted by the Kentucky National Guard, this competition showcases the adaptiveness, resilience, and lethality of our forces, affirming the readiness of National Guard citizen-Soldiers to meet the nation’s challenges.
